Motorcycle description

The Harley-Davidson Road Glide is often associated with effortless highway cruising, long-distance touring, and a comfortable ride on smooth pavement. However, the 2024 Road Glide "Off G" version expands its capabilities beyond the road. This robust touring motorcycle is engineered to conquer diverse terrains and embrace off-road challenges-demonstrating a true adventurous spirit at its core.

The original idea came right after Daytona Bike Week 2024. We saw so many performance baggers rolling into different shows, and most of them had oil radiators relocated to the fairing. That’s when we thought: “Why hasn’t anyone built a real off-road version yet?”
Yes, there was a build from California by Matt Laidlaw called “Over Glide,” but we wanted to create something different-something with real off-road suspension, a style-matching exhaust, spoke wheels, and a chain drive. As close as we could get to a BMW GS1250.

The rear end features a modified Speed Dealer swingarm with extended FOX off-road shocks (just released along with the new front extended springs). It runs a 54T Trask chain conversion. The wheels came from a Pan America, but adapting them wasn’t easy. The Trask sprocket likely had to be modified to fit inside the Pan America hub. We didn’t want to use regular aluminum cases, so Pelican was the only option for us-and, of course, a quick-release case system was custom-made.

Foot controls were moved all the way to the back, where the original passenger pegs were located. The challenge was to make the shifter work comfortably, as it had to be relocated behind the primary case. The exhaust system is a full custom setup featuring a Trask muffler.

The front end is mostly Arlen Ness components combined with FOX cartridges. The entire water-cooling assembly was relocated to the fairing and mounted using a modified A10 Moto Baja setup.

Overall, the motorcycle has been raised by 4 inches compared to stock and now features genuine off-road suspension along with most traditional off-road elements.
